Shipping policy

All Forja del Sol prices shown on our website include freight to your home or office. However, in some special cases, there could be an additional freight charge depending on you specific delivery location. In such cases we will contact you before we proceed with your purchase for approval.

To minimize the potential for freight damages Forja del Sol packs all furniture pieces very well with cardboard which is encased by clear plastic shrink wrap and also is placed in a pallet.

Forja del Sol will coordinate and assist customers with any and all shipping issues; however, Forja del Sol does not have direct control of the transport of shipments by the freight carrier. The freight company is responsible for the safe transport and delivery of shipments.
10. FREIGHT DAMAGES:
a. IMPORTANT – Freight damages MUST be noted by the customer on the “Bill of Lading” or “Freight Bill” in possession of the driver of the truck. The customer should check the packing for potential damages when the shipment is being unloaded; and note any damages on the Bill of Lading BEFORE signing it, and BEFORE the driver departs.
b. The customer must notify both Forja del Sol and freight company within 24-hours of receipt of any obvious damages; and within 3-days of any hidden damages.
c. Save the damaged pieces and packing material for physical proof of the damages, and then take pictures of the damages required for the freight damage claim process.
c. Failure to note the damages on the Bill of Lading in possession of the driver upon receipt of the shipment, and failure to report the damages within the specified time limit will likely result in the customer’s claim being denied by the freight company; and this will likely render useless Forja del Sol efforts to assist the customer in obtaining restitution from the freight company.
d. Forja del Sol employs rigorous quality control/quality assurance procedures during production, packing, loading, and prior to shipping. Forja del Sol gives the merchandise to the freight company in good condition and very well packed (otherwise the merchandise would not be received by the freight company). The freight company is responsible for the transport and delivery of shipments in good condition and without damages.
f. Forja del Sol will assist customers with freight damage claims; but the customer must follow the above procedures for documenting the damages and initiating the damage claim. The freight company is responsible for the settlement of freight damages occurring under their care.
